coopmodeAn OC shamelessly ripped off of the clock tower 2 protagonist because Alyssa is too boring to RP, Laurie is a Normal Modern High School Girl with latent supernatural powers because of her family bloodline, being a descendent of excorcists. Her brother died when she was very young, so she tried to ressurrect him in the family basement, but seemingly failed. Oh well guess that's that.
What she didn't know is her brother's spirit was drawn back to earth but also intercepted by a demon hitching a ride on his metaphorical back, so he sacrificed himself in order to force his "heart" on the demon as it - unbeknownst to Laurie - found its way to Earth through her body. While it is a nihilistic, human hating serial killer it's also got a lot of protective brotherly feelings over Laurie that it can't ignore on account of being cursed by her brother, so he is equally terrible monster loving brother with a knife. When Laurie is awake the demon is "asleep" and vice versa, so cooperation between the two is difficult but not impossible. She can forcefully keep him dormant, but if she falls asleep he will immediately take control of her body.
When the demon is asleep, Laurie possesses a near perfect regenerative factor - she can only be killed by her "brother" as a part of their contract, so it won't allow any other method of harm to kill her. Conversely, when the demon is in control of her body, her body is rendered killable but the demon itself is extremely powerful and difficult to kill because of it.
